East Nusa Tenggara reports 1.07 million tourist visits in 2025
East Nusa Tenggara logged 1,073,773 tourist visits in 2025, up 29.85% from 2024, with domestic travelers accounting for more than four-fifths of the total, according to provincial figures cited in local reporting.

Kupang — East Nusa Tenggara recorded 1,073,773 tourist visits in 2025, a 29.85% increase from 826,480 visits in 2024, according to provincial tourism figures cited by local reporting and a separate regional data source. Domestic travelers accounted for most of the total.
Of the 2025 total, 896,721 visits were by domestic tourists and 177,052 by foreign visitors. That means domestic travel made up about 83.5% of all recorded visits, while international visitors accounted for about 16.5%.
The provincial tourism office said the rise reflected promotion efforts and improvements in services at destinations, according to local reporting. The office also said it had not yet set a 2026 visitor target because it was still compiling reports from all 22 districts and municipalities.
Domestic visitors remained the majority
The 2025 figure marked a sharp rise in international arrivals as well as domestic traffic. Foreign visits rose from 101,544 in 2024 to 177,052 in 2025, while domestic visits increased from 724,936 to 896,721 over the same period.
NTT’s tourism profile covers destinations across Flores, Sumba, Timor and other islands, including Komodo National Park and Labuan Bajo, but the provincial totals do not identify which districts or attractions contributed the most.
The breakdown also does not show monthly performance, length of stay, entry points or spending. That limits how far the provincial total can be used to compare with airport arrivals or accommodation statistics.
