Flores — BMKG’s forecast for Sunday, 11 October 2026, puts East Nusa Tenggara under predominantly thick cloud, with possible fog before dawn in highland areas including Bajawa and Ruteng.

The forecast covers 22 cities and regencies in the province. Temperatures are expected to range from 14°C to 34°C, with the highest readings forecast for Oelamasi and Maumere, according to the report.

Conditions from morning to afternoon are generally forecast to be clear to heavily cloudy. From evening into the pre-dawn period, skies are expected to range from partly cloudy to heavily cloudy.

Travellers using roads in areas exposed to fog should monitor conditions before travelling, as reduced visibility may affect journeys during the morning and at night. The forecast identifies Soe, Bajawa and Ruteng among locations where fog may develop.

Why it matters to Flores travellers

The forecast matters for visitors moving between Flores destinations because cloud and pre-dawn fog may affect visibility in highland areas. The report also gives a wide provincial temperature range, from 14°C to 34°C, reflecting different conditions across Nusa Tenggara Timur.

BMKG, Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, issued the forecast through its El Tari Kupang meteorological office. Wind is expected to come from the east to south at 10–30 kilometres per hour, according to the independent report.

The forecast applies to Sunday, 11 October 2026. The reports do not state any closure or other travel restriction.
