Labuan Bajo — A vegetation fire in the coastal area beside Frans Seda Airport in Maumere on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, burned several hectares of dry brush and residents’ fields before being brought under control by firefighting crews and security personnel from the airport and local authorities, according to local media and public radio reports.
