Police traffic unit delivers clean water by tanker to Kampung Tanggo

According to local daily Pos Kupang, officers from the Manggarai Timur traffic unit (Satlantas Polres Manggarai Timur) drove a water tanker into Kampung Tanggo and helped fill communal storage tanks and household containers for villagers who have been facing shortages of clean water.

The outlet reported that officers were welcomed by residents who lined up with buckets and jerry cans as police distributed the water in the steep hillside settlement. Pos Kupang described the activity as part of a police social assistance programme aimed at easing the burden on communities affected by disruptions to basic services.

Public radio news reports on assistance to quake-affected communities in neighbouring Manggarai regency have highlighted clean-water access as a key concern, with police units delivering drinking water to impacted villages as part of the emergency response in August and September 2026. Kampung Tanggo is an inland community in Kota Ndora urban village, within Borong subdistrict of Manggarai Timur.
