Maumere — BMKG forecast temperatures of up to 35°C in Maumere, East Nusa Tenggara, on Saturday, 17 October 2026, according to Pos-Kupang.com. The forecast said most areas of Nusa Tenggara Timur would be clear or partly cloudy that day. It listed Maumere among locations that could reach the province’s highest forecast temperature.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued the forecast for Nusa Tenggara Timur. The report attributed the information to the BMKG El Tari Kupang Meteorological Station’s forecast for the province.
Why the forecast matters to Komodo readers
Maumere is on Flores, the same island that connects several travel routes through East Nusa Tenggara. The forecast gives a regional indication of conditions for travellers moving across Flores on 17 October 2026, although the report’s detailed figures vary by location.
The same report put the province’s forecast temperature range at 14–35°C. It said the highest temperatures were expected in Kupang, Oelamasi and Maumere. The report separately said winds could reach 37 km/h in Kupang.
A second Flores report from Tribunnews.com also covered the 17 October forecast and identified Maumere among cities with similar conditions to Labuan Bajo, Ruteng, Bajawa, Ende and Larantuka. That report said Maumere had one of the higher rain probabilities in its summary, with the highest probability in Labuan Bajo.
The forecast applies to Saturday, 17 October 2026.
