BPH Migas says Wae Mbuka depot gets 800-900 litres of kerosene every three days

Labuan Bajo — — Indonesia’s downstream oil and gas regulator said it inspected kerosene distribution in Komodo District, West Manggarai, on Friday, Sept. 18, and found the Wae Mbuka depot receiving about 800 to 900 litres every three days for around 150 households.

According to BPH Migas chief Wahyudi Anas, the visit was part of a joint working trip with House of Representatives Commission XII to Flores, and the purpose was to monitor fuel supply and ensure energy services were running normally after the earthquake in Flores.

The regulator said kerosene for West Manggarai was being supplied through the Fuel Terminal Reo and distributed via agent Wardun Perkasa Jaya to the Wae Mbuka depot. In a report carried by Koran Jakarta, Wahyudi said the depot’s stock was being kept secure and could meet household cooking needs for the next three to four days.

The same report said the depot serves about 150 households and that average use was around 2 to 2.5 litres per household per day. It also said the site used a named-container queue system so residents could drop off containers and collect them after refilling.

A BPH Migas news item published on its official website the same day said the agency was monitoring fuel distribution in West Manggarai and checking that supply continued to run smoothly. A separate report on the regulator’s site said fuel availability in Labuan Bajo and Flores remained in safe condition after the disaster, supporting the broader claim that distribution in the area had stabilized.

The inspection focused on household kerosene at one depot in Komodo District and did not amount to a district-wide audit of all fuel types or all users. The confirmed details are the inspection date, the depot’s reported delivery pattern, the approximate number of households served and the role of the Reo terminal and Wardun Perkasa Jaya in the supply chain.
