Labuan Bajo — Ghaura Chocolatier officially opened an outlet on Jalan Alo Tanis on Thursday, 22 October 2026, offering visitors 12 chocolate variants made with Flores and East Nusa Tenggara ingredients.
The outlet is in Labuan Bajo, Komodo district, West Manggarai regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The business combines chocolate with local ingredients including cashews, coffee, coconut, palm sugar, walnuts and moringa leaves.
The range includes dark, milk and white chocolate. One featured product is dark chocolate containing 80 percent cocoa, which was particularly popular with overseas consumers who prefer higher cocoa content.
Production remains in Kupang, while Labuan Bajo serves as a distribution and product-introduction location for the tourist market.
Why it matters to Labuan Bajo readers
The outlet adds a locally produced food product to the visitor economy in a destination better known as a gateway to Komodo. Cafe Ghaura Coklat had been operating on Jalan Alo Tanis for about two months and was presenting Nusa Tenggara Timur plantation products to domestic and international visitors.
Menu items include Pink Beach Smoothies, Ghaura Komodo, Ghaura Hot Chocolate and Ghaura Ice Chocolate Biscoff. The business was intended to connect the visitor experience with local chocolate and coffee products.
