Manggarai — Bank NTT said on 14 October 2026 that one of three applications for earthquake credit relief had been realised, while two were still being processed. The bank identified 160 borrowers in Manggarai as potentially affected by the Flores earthquake, according to Eko Rakyat.
The applications were made under Bank NTT’s credit-relief policy for borrowers affected by the disaster. The report said other potentially affected borrowers had not yet applied and that borrowers needed to take the initiative to request the facility.
Why the 160-borrower figure matters
The measure gives affected borrowers in Manggarai a route to seek relief from existing credit obligations. The limited number of applications reported on 14 October means the policy’s practical reach remained below the number of borrowers identified as potentially affected.
The broader regulatory context came from the Financial Services Authority, or OJK, which announced special treatment for disaster-affected borrowers in eight districts of East Nusa Tenggara, including Manggarai.
OJK said the special treatment took effect on 28 September 2026 and will remain in force for three years. The Bank NTT report did not state a deadline for applications beyond the borrowers’ need to submit requests.
