Flores — The Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG), Indonesia’s meteorology agency, forecasts mostly partly cloudy conditions across East Nusa Tenggara on Monday, 19 October 2026, with temperatures reaching 34 degrees Celsius in some areas.
BMKG’s forecast identifies several local variations across Flores. Flores Timur is forecast to be partly cloudy, with temperatures of 23–34 degrees Celsius and humidity of 63–98 percent. Sikka and Ende are forecast to be clear, with temperatures of 23–34 degrees Celsius. Ngada is forecast to experience fog or smoke, with temperatures of 21–32 degrees Celsius.
A separate BMKG update published on Monday says hazy air is expected in Manggarai and Ngada. The update says hazy conditions may occur from morning through afternoon and evening in those areas.
Why it matters to Komodo readers
The forecast covers Flores, the island that includes routes and communities connected to Labuan Bajo and Komodo travel. The variation between clear conditions, partly cloudy skies and reduced visibility means local conditions may differ substantially across the island on the same day.
BMKG’s provincial forecast says most of East Nusa Tenggara is expected to be clear to partly cloudy during the day. The agency also forecasts generally clear to cloudy conditions from night into early morning, while highland areas may experience fog during the early hours.
For Monday, the reported temperature range reaches 34 degrees Celsius in Flores Timur, Sikka and Ende. Ngada’s forecast range is lower, at 21–32 degrees Celsius, while its forecast includes fog or smoke.
