Labuan Bajo — 20 September 2026 — Wings Air is operating direct flights between Kupang and Labuan Bajo, extending a nonstop link between East Nusa Tenggara’s provincial capital and the main air gateway to Komodo National Park. Published booking data and local reporting show the service is offered daily on the route, with multiple departure times available in September 2026.
Travel booking listings for the route show Wings Air departures from Kupang to Labuan Bajo on 20 and 23 September 2026, with one published schedule showing a flight leaving Kupang at 07:00 and arriving in Labuan Bajo at 09:20, and another listing a flight at 12:10 arriving at 14:20. A separate listing for the airline shows Kupang–Labuan Bajo services operated by Wings Air in the same period.
Local reporting from July 2025 said El Tari Airport in Kupang had announced the opening of the direct route as part of efforts to improve connectivity and support tourism in East Nusa Tenggara. That report said the route was to begin on 20 July 2025 and listed daily service under the flight numbers IW 1925 and IW 1924.
The published schedules identify the route as Kupang (KOE) to Labuan Bajo (LBJ) and the reverse, with times shown in Central Indonesia Time. The route is marketed as a nonstop option for travellers heading to Labuan Bajo, which is the entry point for visitors to Komodo National Park.
For travellers, the direct service offers a faster alternative to itineraries that require a transit stop. The route information available in booking systems indicates Wings Air is using its regional network to connect two of the most important travel and economic centres in the province.
The most recent public listings do not show fare stability: prices and available departure times vary by booking date and seller. The route remains available in search results for late September 2026, indicating that the service is active rather than a one-off launch flight.
Earlier local reporting listed an ATR 72 aircraft with 72 economy seats for the route, but current booking pages reviewed for this article do not repeat the aircraft specification.
