Labuan Bajo — The Ministry of Tourism, the Labuan Bajo Flores Authority (BPOLBF) and Scoot Airlines held a familiarisation programme from 15 to 19 September 2026 to introduce Singapore participants to tourism experiences in Labuan Bajo and surrounding areas, according to Pos-Kupang.com.
The programme involved one Singapore-based key opinion leader and three Scoot team members, including videographers and photographers. The organisers said the activity formed part of efforts to strengthen promotion and marketing of the Labuan Bajo Flores destination in Singapore.
The programme used the Mystery Flight Club concept, a travel content series developed by Scoot and The Travel Intern. Participants visited Cunca Plias, experienced local gastronomy at Dapur Tara and Kitchen Garden, and learned about Manggarai culture in Kampung Melo.
The itinerary also included an exploration of Komodo National Park, mangrove planting in Kampung Warloka Pesisir, and kayaking and swimming at Rangko Cave. The programme included local Manggarai cuisine highlighting regional food products, the report said.
Why it matters to Labuan Bajo readers
The programme puts Labuan Bajo experiences before Singapore travel professionals and content creators through direct visits to natural, cultural, environmental and culinary sites. That gives local tourism stakeholders a promotion channel tied to Scoot’s Singapore market, while the reported itinerary shows the range of activities being presented beyond a single attraction.
The report identified the Ministry of Tourism and BPOLBF as organisers working with Scoot Airlines. BPOLBF is the Indonesian authority responsible for the Labuan Bajo Flores tourism-organisation programme.
The report did not state a subsequent launch date, booking change or other follow-up action after the familiarisation programme.
