Labuan Bajo starts three-day snorkeling-guide safety training

Labuan Bajo — The Ministry of Tourism began a three-day snorkeling-guide competence and safety training programme in Labuan Bajo on 22 September 2026, with 40 participants taking part.

The programme is being held from 22–24 September 2026, according to Tribunnews. Participants are tourism workers and guides involved in snorkeling activities.

The training is organised by the Ministry of Tourism’s Deputy for Resources and Institutions through its assistant deputy for industrial human-resources capacity building. The Indonesian Tour Guides Professional Certification Institute, the Labuan Bajo Flores Tourism Authority Implementation Agency (BPOLBF) and the West Manggarai Regency Government are also involved.
