Komodo National Park access is managed through official booking and permitting rather than a single walk-up ticket: visitors use the SiOra system for available tourism services, while activities requiring a research or special-use permit must be submitted online. The park authority lists trekking, wildlife observation, snorkelling and diving among permitted activities, but the sources found do not establish a complete current fee table.
How are visits and activities authorised?
The park’s official portal lists Komodo National Park activities including trekking, coastal exploration, wildlife observation, snorkelling, diving, birdwatching, research and canopy trails, according to the Directorate General of Conservation of Natural Resources and Ecosystems (KSDAE, 2025).
For tickets requiring SIMAKSI, an Indonesian permit category for research or special activities, applicants can submit requests online through the SiOra website, according to the Labuan Bajo Flores Tourism Authority (BOPLBF, 2025).
What is SiOra used for?
BOPLBF reported that diving and other water activities can use an electronic ticket scanned at the Komodo Visitor Center, while special tickets requiring SIMAKSI are requested online through SiOra, according to BOPLBF (2025).
The same report said users should update the SiOra application to its latest version as announced by the Komodo National Park authority’s Instagram account; it identified the application version then available as 1.2.16, according to BOPLBF (2025).
Are visitor limits part of access planning?
BOPLBF reported that visitor limits were planned for some destinations in Komodo National Park from 2026, with quotas applied for visits at one time by the park manager in coordination with tourism stakeholders, according to BOPLBF (2025).
A separate BOPLBF report said the park tested a quota of 1,000 people per day during January–March 2026, with visits distributed through SiOra as part of a carrying-capacity assessment, according to BOPLBF (2026).
What fees should visitors expect?
The official pages found confirm that Komodo National Park uses electronic tickets and permits, but they do not provide a complete, current public fee schedule that can be stated reliably here. Fees therefore depend on the authorised activity and ticket or permit category shown in the official booking process.
