How often does an official sea route call at Labuan Bajo?

Labuan Bajo’s maritime access combines a 28-day government logistics route with separately recorded port calls; official listings do not establish a daily tourist ferry service.

Labuan Bajo’s sea access is not a single daily ferry service: official information shows scheduled maritime connections alongside port calls and government transport routes. PELNI lists the T-28 sea-logistics route through Labuan Bajo, while the transport ministry describes the port’s digital passenger-boarding system.

Which official sea route includes Labuan Bajo?

PELNI’s official Tol Laut page lists route T-28 as Kupang–Waingapu–Labuan Bajo–Merauke–Atapupu/Wini–Kupang, with a frequency of every 28 days, according to PELNI, 2026. The page identifies it as a logistics route, so it should not be treated as a regular tourist ferry timetable.

Does that route provide a daily passenger ferry?

The official PELNI information does not describe T-28 as a daily passenger service. It gives the route and its 28-day frequency, but does not establish daily departures or a fixed tourist-passenger schedule.

What passenger facility does Labuan Bajo port provide?

The Directorate General of Sea Transportation said passengers and ship crews using Class III Labuan Bajo Port would receive electronic boarding passes, according to the transport ministry, 2022. The announcement presented the system as part of the port’s digitalisation and compared it with airport-style boarding procedures.

Why can ship information change even when a route exists?

A route listing and an individual port call are different kinds of information. The ministry’s monitoring system records vessel movements by specific arrival and departure entries; one official record, updated in 2026, shows a vessel call at Labuan Bajo with an estimated arrival on 19 June 2026 and departure on 20 June 2026.

For access planning, the confirmed official facts are therefore limited: T-28 includes Labuan Bajo, its listed frequency is every 28 days, and port-call records identify individual ship movements separately. A route listing alone does not confirm a particular sailing date or passenger availability.
